Initially the project was funded for six months in a partnership between Carlisle and Eden Deaf Children's Society and DeafVision.  Further funding from the Cumbria Community Foundation has enabled the project to extend for a further two years.

The project's aim is to offer to families a focus on networking opportunities for children and siblings to meet up and share activities in which the parents can also participate.  Through leisure-type activities there is a huge scope for learning about oneself and others through interaction.
