Communication Support Unit
The unit was set up over ten years ago to answer the need for communication support in Cumbria and Dumfries and Galloway.
Over the years it has evolved into a busy, friendly and accessible team of highly knowledgeable and committed staff.
Since the acknowledgement of British Sign Language as a language in its own right, and the implementation of the Disability Access Act, the work of the unit has never been so important.
We provide support in many areas:
*Medical
*Education

*Police
*Legal
*Internal and external meetings

*Access to Work
*Job Centre
