William Turner has been the Deaf Awareness Co-ordinator for DeafVision covering the whole of the county, for the last five years.  Partially deaf, William is a hearing aid user and a British Sign Language user.

As Co-ordinator he encourages organisations, small groups and individuals to invest in training sessions to learn about Deaf and hard of hearing people.

Deaf Awareness is designed to provide an understanding of deafness and to help hearing people to communicate effectively with those who are deaf and hard of hearing.
