Don't let the credit crunch damage your health
Action for Blind People is calling for people to get their eyes tested this New Year and not to be put off by the credit crunch.
An eye test could potentially be the difference between having full sight and going blind and it does not have to be a financial burden. But many people are risking their sight by not going for regular eye tests stating cost as the primary reason.
Find out more about why an eye test is so important and why cost shouldn't be a factor
Eye on the Future
Action's Annual Review 2007/08 is now available. This year we wanted to give you something more than just a report, and as a forward thinking charity, a calendar seemed the perfect choice.
We need your support
Like many blind and partially sighted people in the UK, Joyce lives somewhere that is totally unsuitable for her needs.
At the moment we have 14 Housing Coordinators. Sadly, there is so much need that we simply cannot help as many people as we would like. That’s why your support is so important.
Accessing your GP
The Department of Health is looking at ways in which local health providers can improve access and better respond to the needs of patients, including those with sensory loss.
Please help the Department of Health to understand the real issues facing visually impaired people when accessing their GP throughout England by taking part in an online survey.
